Quick Weekend Getaway

We decided to take a spur of the moment little getaway this past weekend. The three of us went to Frisco (which is only about 45min away), played a little, went shopping, spent the night at a hotel and ate! :) We went skating at the Stars Center on Sat. morning, since Brenden has not had a chance to use his new hockey skates yet (which I need a pair of, cause those rentals are uuugly). It was fun! We just need to take him more often, so he can continue learning.
As he says..."when I get bigger & bigger & taller & taller, I can go as fast as Daddy" :)
We had lunch at this 3rd Base place (which we won't be going to again), & they serve these fries that they call 'happy fries'-aren't they cute!?! This one kinda looked like an alien or something, but the others were cute & yummy!
Then we went to the mall, of course, & also rode the carousel. It went for quite a while-which Brenden enjoyed!
All shopped out!!
Little Man found a book at Family Christian...
Where's Doodle??? We had to go to Ikea too!!!
He found his spot in the bed real quick!

Fountains outside hotel, where we took a nice walk after breakfast. On the way home...I thought this was so cute, but he said "no more pictures!!" (that is his foot on the right side, trying to keep me from taking the picture) haha

We also had to stop at Wooley's for ice cream!!! ;)Then we finished off the weekend at another one of Bubba's games...at which, we were told, most of the goals were scored for Brenden & I! lolBubba (#71) & DoodleWe really enjoyed the little time we had away for the weekend! We love that we are able to do things like this!!

That's great that you had a little getaway! I love that you took Brenden too. Looks like you had so much fun - we all need to get away once in awhile! He is such a little mini-Daniel! So funny!

Not with four kiddos!!!
