Spring Fever

We are SO ready for the warm weather to come. And stay for a while! Only in Texas will the temperature be 85 one day & the next be in the low 50's!! Why?? We took advantage of the beautiful weather this past weekend & went to the park by our house. It has long trails to walk on with some streams throughout it & it is very relaxing. Brenden really enjoyed it! We took the wagon, but he was in it for only about half a second. We had fun watching the birds & little critters play around too. They have a huge Easter egg hunt here that's coming up in a couple weeks. I can't believe it's almost March-but so excited!!!

Only Survivor

Daniel had a fire a couple weeks ago, which totalled the house. While they were inside looking for people, they spotted this mannequin head in a closet. Daniel had walked out through the garage & another fireman threw it out the window for him to catch. If my home ever catches on fire (which I pray it doesn't), I hope the firemen don't try to find something funny within it! He does say, a fireman's best day is another person's worst! By the way, the owner's were not home at the time of the fire, & nobody was hurt :) It was possibly set by the owner's, because it was in the process of being forclosed!

When They Grow Up...

Maybe it's just me, but I always find myself wondering what Brenden will be when he grows up. This morning he kept saying "I'm a fireman like Dada." I wonder if he will be? He LOVES the trash man & watching him every morning he comes-maybe he'll be a trash man! I get so excited thinking about what God has in store for him to be! I wish I already knew, but I guess that would spoil the surprise. He just loves to be involved in so many things, I wonder what he will have a passion for. Like, he loves animals almost as much as I do-maybe a vet!? Or a hockey player!!! That is what he is passionate about right now! As he plays hockey in the kitchen, making black puck marks on the wall (yes, he plays with real pucks-I know, we have to make him a rink in the garage-Daniel is drawing up the plans now;) ) he yells "Brenden Morrow!!" HAHA He knows his real last name, but likes to pretend that's who he is, I guess. Every Stars game that comes on, he has to find #10 (Morrow)! It's really cute. Anyway, I just think it's great that he has the opportunity in life to be anything he wants! I'll be there supporting him the whole way :)

We went to the Dallas Symphony this weekend, & I honestly didn't know if I would like it, but I did! It was nice & the dinner we had beforehand was good too! They had a bread pudding with a sauce that was SO good!! Oh, speaking of, we had breakfast at Cracker Barrel this weekend & I got a t-shirt that says "Life's too short-Eat dessert first!" that's what I'm sayin'!! I wish that someday people would stop looking at me wierd when I ask to see the dessert menu before I order my food! Yes, I have ordered my dessert first-plenty of times. Ok, back to the symphony...Daniel I enjoyed it & will probably go again. It relaxed me so much that I was thisclose to falling asleep, if it didn't end! I guess that's a good thing, right?

Yippee Day!

It took almost forever, but Friday finally got here! Friday was dubbed 'yippee day' by my brother & I when we were little. There is even a plaque on the wall at the daycare we attended that talks about it :) Now that I think about it, my dad probably had it made & put it up there (he likes to laminate & frame EVERYTHING), but hey...there's still something on the wall with our names on it!!

I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day! Mine was spent with Brenden, my mom, & my dad. Daniel was on shift :( We had a great time though! Ordered in chinese, had GINORMOUS chocolate covered strawberries-that my dad brought for me, & played hockey in the kitchen. Doesn't get much better than that!

On yippee day, we have a little tradition that we do with Brenden. In the morning, on the way to TayTay's house we stop at the donut (or nano-that's what brenden calls it) store & he gets to get 6 chocolate donut holes. Ofcourse, Daniel & I stock up too! I like to have little things like that during the week that we can all look forward to as a family. It also helps with being a privledge that can be taken away, but that hasn't had to happen just yet!

Even with the nasty weather we're supposed to have, I hope you all make the best of this weekend!!

So it begins...

Well, here we are! I decided to jump on the bandwagon as well. This will be nice to keep in touch with friends & family out of state & even around town. I enjoy reading about what's going on in other people's lives, so why not let other's know about ours!

About my blog name...for those that don't already know, we are huge hockey fans! So I thought puckheads would be appropriate :) I really have nothing special to talk about tonight, just wanted to get this started.

Oh! When I got home from work today, Daniel had bought me some beautiful tulips for Valentine's Day! Dark purple & white ones! I was totally not expecting flowers, so it was sweet. We are going to the Dallas Symphony this weekend for the first time (Valentine's Day date), so that will be nice! I hope! ;) Not sure what to expect, but I will let ya know how it goes.

Anyway, I need to go lay down. I am stuffed full of a chocolate molten cake that I baked tonight. I'm not complaining though-it was awesome!! I hope blogging will help us keep in touch with the people we can't talk to very often, & those we talk to everyday!!
