Weekend What-nots

We spent the weekend mostly around the house, which was nice. It was cold & windy on Saturday, so we couldn't play outside. But we did go out for an ice cream treat & to the grocery store! Easton helped me watch Brenden for a bit while I got some things done around the house...
Brenden holds the rope, Easton grabs a hold of one end & pulls him all over the kitchen! So many cute squeals come out of Brenden when they play :)
And Doodle got a new bike! Didn't even know Bamaw & Papa were bringing one over. He has already gotten too tall for his other bike, so we needed to get him one, but they beat us to it! We've let him ride it in the house since it hasn't gone outside too much & from the time he gets up till the time he goes to bed, he's circling the house on that thing.
And this dog...

decided to roll around in the grass Sunday afternoon and then Brenden thought he would look nice with sand on top of that. Normally wiping the grass (never had to get sand off before) off wouldn't be a big deal, but static (one of the many lovely things that comes with winter) will not let it come off! So today, he got to go get pampered at Pet's Mart with a bath. We've got a lot planned this week, so more pics to come :)

under construction

again. warning...will look gross until i am finished :) well, it may still look gross when i am finished, but we'll see! may not have energy to finish it tonight.

I am not a freakin' chicken.

This is my "me time." Tanning. 20 minutes of white noise, drowning out life's noises. It had seemed like forever since I've tanned (and by the paleness of my body you could definitely tell), so it was nice to start going again. And, I always say, tan fat looks better than white fat :) Well...I talked Daniel into going, because I thought he would like it! He has never tanned before & obviously didn't know what to expect. So I was telling him how to turn the bed on & to not stay in the same exact position so he doesn't get bulb lines, etc... Then he said "so, it's kinda like a rotisserie thing?" What the...?? He thought that would be a good idea, so he wouldn't have to move, it would just move him! Um no, not really & I am not a chicken, that gets turned every few minutes to bake! :) Although, some people call it fake baking, so maybe.

Just got off the phone with Daniel. He said the doctor called & referred him to the ENT doctor, because of him being dizzy or something. Then he asked me if that was the ear, nose & tongue doctor! haha That's my fireman.

Meet Emma

This is Brenden and his girlfriend, Emma, on Valentine's Day. Look at her boots!! :) He wanted to bring her something for Valentine's Day, and that is what she's holding behind her. He got her a Disney Princess coloring set. The other day Daniel & I went to pick him up at school & he turned around before walking out. He went over to where all the kids were, Emma stood up & they gave each other the biggest hug, then she gave him the sweetest kiss on the cheek! We are just blown away by the things he says about her & how they act towards each other. It is SO sweet. I met her mom yesterday & she was saying how cute the two of them are together. But, we have not met her dad yet-I'm not sure how he feels about his 3yr old daughter having a boyfriend! ;)

waiting on dad

Brenden & Easton waiting on Dad to get home from the station on Friday, with donuts (or nanos-what Brenden used to call them). They both get so excited when they hear the garage open.

Baby Jesus

Saturday, while Daniel was pumping gas, Brenden & I were just sitting in the truck talking. Our conversation got interrupted by him saying this...

Brenden: "Awww, it's Jesus"

Me: "What?"

Brenden: "It's baby Jesus"

Me: "Hun, you think that looks like baby Jesus? It's a Keebler Cookie truck."
