We had a couple things to do on Friday night & by the end of it, it seemed like the three of us had been on a date! We first went to my Brother's school for a photo show/gallery that his pics were a part of(he's a photographer-a very good one!) It was nice! A couple months back he went on a road trip through Tennessee, Louisiana & Mississippi. He took pics & spoke to people for this project at school. It's amazing how differently people live their lives. We are truly blessed. He brought a journal along & had them write down what their thoughts are, or what they would like to change. Most of these grown people did not know how to write, so they had someone else write in the journal he brought, or some of them would just draw a picture trying to describe what they wanted to say. It's pretty sad & it makes you realize what you have to be thankful for. Here are some of the pics...

"So cute, take picture"
When we were on the way home the other night, Brenden wanted me to look at his pigs(toes) peeking at me through the front seat head rest. So I look & tickled them & told Daniel to look. He said I see your piglets! Then Brenden said..."My Piggies, so cute, take picture!" lol How cute!?! He loves the camera! And we actually had it with us!

Our Weekend
While we were having lunch at the party, Brenden was doing something he shouldn't have been doing(don't remember what). Daniel was trying to get onto him about it, & my brother was doing all he could not to laugh(so was I-I was the one at first letting him know why he shouldn't be doing what he was doing, but Daniel had to take over because Brenden & I were laughing about it). Anyway...Bubba(my brother-yes I am Texan!) finally just had to put the napkin over his mouth so Brenden wouldn't see him laughing.
The party was at a country club, so we walked out to the course. Brenden had fun rolling & throwing golf balls! And he helped sweep the sand pit thingy.
That night, the three of us went swimming & had a really good time! Brenden said he wanted to swim under water, like Daddy, so here ya go! He did & had fun! We told him to keep his mouth closed & hold his nose, then we would dunk him under. We may not have to take him to swim lessons after all :)
Tooth update...as if you all wanted one. I was in a lot of pain this weekend! Not because of the root canal, but because of my wisdom teeth. I wish they would have taken those out before the dang root canal(that tooth was not bothering me!) Well, last night it was really bad. This morning I realize my bottom one pushed through overnight! I was teething!! Now I have a flap of my gum just kinda laying there. Gross! I almost passed out when I noticed it this morning.

Brenden's Party
Here are a few pictures from Bren's 3rd Birthday. We had a really good time! I did it at night this time & will probably always do it like that now. It was just a little less stressful & people could stay longer. Anyway, he got a lot of great new toys, books, clothes, a turtle sandbox & an awesome playhouse from Bamaw & Papa (the front of it is a firehouse)! I just had to add in the last pic of Daniel(in mid air during back flip) & my brother on the trampoline.

My Day Off
Well, Doodle had his three year check up yesterday & it went great! He is at the 90th% for height & 50th% for weight. tall and skinny :) The doctor had him recognize shapes, animals & just kind of quizzed him a little bit & he did awesome! We are so proud of him.
Then Daniel & I went to the dentist for a cleaning-or so we thought. Almost 3 hours later I come out with having a root canal done. It honestly was not that bad. They gave me the laughing gas, headphones with music, and a blanket! It does hurt a little today. I'm just going to have to deal with that though, because I can't take the pain meds while driving or working. I get to go back in 4 weeks & then they will put on the overlay, or crown, or whatever.
But, I have never felt closer to God than I did while they were doing my tooth. Seriously. I don't know why I felt that way, but it was nice. I was pretty scared when they told me I was going to have the root canal done. I didn't want to feel the shot in my mouth (although it would not have felt anything like the injections I had while I was pregnant-another story). Once they started the laughing gas, I just began to pray. I prayed about my family, Brenden, Daniel & I, life, my tooth, safety, happiness, worrying, and I was thankful for a lot. My whole mouth was numb, but while I was laying there with my eyes closed, half asleep, I could feel tears running down my face. I just felt so thankful & close to Him. I wish I could feel that way throughout my day. I don't always feel that close, or strong in my faith, but I know it will come. I'm trying. I'm trying to trust.

Happy Birthday Little Man!
We have been so blessed these past three years because of him! I would've never known how much I could love someone, until the day he was born. For a long time after he was born I would just cry, because of how much I loved him & just wanted to always be able to protect him. I guess I still do cry because of that :) I thank God every day for blessing us with him! We have never laughed so much, cried so much, played so much, or been exhausted as much as we have the past 3 years. It has been the best! And I pray that we have so, so many more amazing years ahead of us with him!

1st Day of Preschool!
Brenden started school on Monday-he's growing up so fast! We are so excited about him going here, they do so many amazing things with the kids. He did really well on the first day! A lot better than I did :) Even this morning when I dropped him off at his class, I was emotional. On Monday, he was a little shy at first, but kept whispering to me "can I go play." As we were leaving, the first thing he walked over to was the vacuum, & started vacuuming the carpet! At least he likes things clean! The teachers are really sweet & he has already shown me some friends that he's made. I can't wait to hear what he's learned today!

Firebear
My friend Vipha gave Brenden this little fireman bear & he loves it! He sleeps with him every night. Sometimes, we even have to give him a goodnight hug, just like we do Brenden :)
Speaking of fire...the last two shifts that Daniel has been at the station, he has gotten a fire! It's been pretty exciting. Both have been houses. Nobody was hurt in the first one, but in today's fire, the lady passed away, which is sad. They found her in the garage, & apparently that's where the fire started, so I'm not too sure what happened. It's hard for me to be excited for him when something tragic happens like this, but this is what they train for & what they wait for. I just pray that he is always protected!

Oh My Shoot!
After dinner on Saturday we decided to have an ice cream cone. Brenden decided to take a big bite out of the side of the cone, right when he started eating it. While he was taking a bite, some ice cream dripped on his hand. He said "Oh my shoot!" HAHA It was so cute! He has the cutest little sayings! When he is trying to figure out how to do something & needs a little help he says "what my should do?" (what am i supposed to do?) We love waiting to hear what he will say next. I'm sure it won't always be that way, like when he becomes a teenager, but right now, it's the best!

Fuzzy Babies
Look what we found in our neighbor's tree!! The house is vacant (well it sold last week-I took this pic almost two weeks ago), & we were out playing one night when I noticed something fluttering around. I had Daniel get the ladder out so I could see them. All my pics came out blurry, but Daniel's turned out good. There are at least two baby doves in there. I can't wait to see them start to fly!

4-Wheelin' & Muddin'
Last night while I was getting dinner ready, Brenden was in the backyard riding his 4-wheeler. I heard his tires spinning, so I went out to help him keep going. Well, we are in the process of building a deck & have some dirt laid on the ground where it'll be. He backed his 4-wheeler into that dirt, kept it in reverse & put the pedal to the metal. He thought it was the neatest thing, watching all the dirt fly up! It was SO cute! He could not stop laughing.
Easton, on the other hand, I'm not sure if he liked it a lot or really wanted it to stop. He barked & growled at that thing as he was trying to bite the tires. Then once Brenden started going again, he continued biting at the tires, all around the yard. He loves (or really hates) 4-wheelers! We can't let him out while we ride ours, because he does the same thing as he does with Brenden's. At least if Brenden's rolls over Easton's foot, it won't hurt him as much as ours would. Maybe he would learn his lesson then!
